I am experimenting with the Unity Game Engine to explore ‘wayfinding’ as a process of orientation and navigation in virtual, natural and indoor built spaces.

In examining the spatial-temporal experience of being immersed in a virtual environment; I am re-examining how I experience being immersed in nature.

I want to experiment with form, light, material, sound and motion in the Unity Game Engine so that I can discover effective ways to direct a players attention to purposely lead them through a virtual space.

The practice experiments are underpinned by psychological and games research focusing on wayfinding, mental modelling,  proprioception and semiotics.
